Pickleball Scored is built by pickleball players for pickleball players. We started this site because we were frustrated by generic "best paddle" lists that didn't explain why a paddle was good or who it was good for. Every paddle, ball, shoe, bag, and net on this site is evaluated using a consistent scoring methodology across five dimensions — Power, Control, Spin, Sweet Spot, and Value — so you can compare products apples to apples.
Our scores are independent. We earn commissions through affiliate links — primarily through Amazon Associates and direct brand affiliate programs — but our rankings are based entirely on our evaluation methodology, not on commission rates or brand relationships. A $40 budget paddle can and does outscore a $200 premium paddle if it delivers better value for its target audience. We believe honest recommendations build long-term trust, and trust is the only thing that matters in this business.
We score paddles on Power (how much drive and pop the paddle generates), Control (accuracy and placement ability), Spin (surface texture and spin generation), Sweet Spot (size and forgiveness of the optimal hitting zone), and Value (performance relative to price). These five dimensions capture what actually matters on the court. Each product also includes pros, cons, a written review, and recommendations by player type.
